The capital city of the state of Arizona is the city of Phoenix. It has a population of over 1.5 million, making it the sixth biggest city by population in the country and is the nation's biggest capital. By land area, it is the largest city within the nation. The Phoenix metropolitan area is called the Valley of the Sun and has a population of roughly 4.2 million. Phoenix serves as the county seat of Maricopa County.

Intel has a large Phoenix workforce, consisting of about 10,000 individuals. Intel manufactures computer chips in water fabrication plants, several of which are located within the valley. The head office of Honeywell's Aerospace division are within the city, and a lot of Honeywell's mechanical and avionics facilities are located within the metro area.
